Nebraska For Us statement on Bacon’s tariff and recession concerns

“Tariffs have hit Nebraska farmers like a wrecking ball in a short period of time and are threatening higher prices for everyone. Congressman Don Bacon could have stopped them. Instead, he voted to let tariffs continue.

“He cannot have it both ways. If he is worried about a tariff-induced recession that raises the cost of doing business for farmers, then he shouldn’t have voted for tariffs to continue. It’s that simple.

“Economic anxiety and costs are rising while consumer sentiment falls. In order to stop prices from going up, it’s clear that Congress needs to do something. Congressman Bacon needs to act to stop these tariffs, and he needs to act now.”
