Nebraska For Us statement ahead of vote on House Republican health care plan that raises health care costs

“The health care cliff is here. Nebraskans are being forced to either pay higher health care costs or lose their insurance altogether. Congressmen Don Bacon and Mike Flood should vote against the Republican plan that does nothing to address expiring tax credits, raises health insurance costs, and increases the number of people going without coverage.

“Affordability is getting harder to find by the day, and cuts to health care will only make the problem worse. It is time for Reps. Bacon and Flood to sign onto the discharge petition to vote on a bill that will extend health care tax credits for the next three years. Without action, health care costs will soon soar for hardworking Nebraskans who are just trying to get by.”
