Please join us for coffee on Thursday, July, 23 from 10–11 a.m. as we host a casual, community-centered conversation about how rising costs are impacting working families across Nebraska. From gas, to groceries, to housing, everyday expenses have become increasingly difficult to manage. Together, we’ll create space to talk openly about these challenges, support one another, and explore how we can move forward as a community.

Nebraska For Us will host a health care virtual roundtable on July 29 at noon on Zoom. With a focus on how federal cuts to Medicaid will impact Nebraska at a state level, this virtual roundtable will bring together experts, advocates, and Medicaid storytellers.

As of May, Nebraska is beginning to implement sweeping cuts to the state’s Medicaid program that didn’t need to be made until early 2027. The primary goal of these cuts is to make it even more difficult for people who need health care to access it in order to give tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy.

Together, we will discuss how recent cuts to SNAP and WIC are affecting Nebraska families and why community organizations like City Sprouts are vital to creating a more food secure community.
