Nebraska For Us statement as ACA open enrollment ends today

“Health insurance premiums have soared for Nebraskans across the state, and the state’s entire federal delegation voted against lowering those costs for patients who desperately need the relief. Affordability challenges are not going away, especially if Congressmen Don Bacon and Mike Flood do not commit to taking serious action.

“New data shows open enrollment has fallen by 1.4 million nationwide compared to this time last year. If premiums are not lowered in the coming weeks, we are concerned even more people will eventually go without coverage because they cannot afford the higher price.”
