Nebraska For Us statement on persistent inflation and tariffs
“Manufacturing is weakening at a significant rate, the job market is slowing, and consumers have paid nearly $175 billion over the span of seven months in 2025. All of this is due to reckless tariff policies that Congressmen Don Bacon and Mike Flood voted several times to support.
“Working class Nebraskans are struggling to afford basic necessities as this week’s inflation report shows the price of goods continuing to soar even higher. From groceries to health care, we are all paying more than we were a year ago. While we wait for the Supreme Court to issue a ruling on tariffs, we need to call on our federal delegation to tackle the affordability crisis as soon as possible.”
