Nebraska For Us statement as House votes to restore health care tax credits

“Affordability challenges are only getting worse for working class Nebraskans, and this relief is desperately needed as health insurance premiums and other costs continue to soar. We have already seen dramatic cuts to Medicaid that will affect patients and health providers across the state. Premium hikes only compound that problem.

“This vote should have happened months ago. Representatives Don Bacon and Mike Flood chose delay and political games over certainty for working families and voted against lowering costs today. Nebraskans are now paying the price with premiums hundreds and even thousands of dollars higher each month.”
