United States Senator Peter Welch is the junior Senator from Vermont.
He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 - 2023. He practiced law for several decades as a public defender and personal injury lawyer in a law practice he founded and was in the Vermont State Senate from 1981 - 1989 & 2003 - 2007.
He’s the Ranking Member of the Agriculture Subcommittee on Rural Development, Energy & Credit.
